Kyrgyz Republic

Kyrgyzstan is situated in Central Asia , its neighbouring countries are Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west, Tadjikistan to the south and China to its East and South-East. The former Republic of the Soviet Union became independent in the year 1991 and since then is a democratic Presidential Republic. Bishkek, formerly called Frunze , is the capital with about 1 million inhabitants, the country as a whole has about 5 million inhabitants and an area of 198.500 km².

It is one of the independent states from former Union of Soviet Social Republics. Country has treasure of mountains and clean water and sometimes it is regarded as the Switzerland of Central Asia. Native language is Kyrgyz and Russian is official language. The republic is enjoying the status of a democratic country. Most of the people are Muslims but the country has a secular constitution. Currency of the republic is Som 1US $=40 Som

Bishkek formerly known as Frunze is the capital of the country and located in the southern part of the country near the international border of

Kazakhstan

. It is a beautiful city which was developed in the Soviet era. Population is about one million. Bishkek is full of parks and monuments which increase the beauty of the city.
